![]() Having started a Plexamp library last year, I laugh to myself at the people complaining because their favorite singer or song was removed from their streaming platform of choice. Having the ability to be able to have songs local to you, not being removed from "streaming" because it is your music, or "exclusive to this platform" is nice too. What is nice is Plexamp doesn't need any high end hardware to even run it. One of my favorite features is time travel radio, playing songs throughout time. There is the sonic adventure which is cool because it brings you through the similar songs. You even get some things like the loudness graph when you are playing, unlike other platforms. All of the features for Plexamp make it all the more worth it. Only reason I look at any sort of streaming service is for new releases.Īs for full time usage, the app is actually really great. I actually went to Plexamp and never looked back. Tired of, as you said, removal of songs at any time, and the occasional "this song is exclusive to this platform" or "let's not give you an email but we are raising the price of this streaming service even if you don't wanna pay the price of it". It was a huge pain but all in all im glad to be away from spotify and it's nice having access to a few key albums that don't exist on streaming like eminems first album and the uncensored version of biggies ready to die tbf i've heard their support is great and usually refunds when it doesn't work properly, but imo it was still worth the money but if you cared they'd probably refund you ![]() i tried a bunch of methods but in the end iirc i used soundiiz and had to pay $5, and it still missed about 20% of my songs (which i then did manually, as it has a report that tells you which songs failed to import) and it also screwed up and pulled the censored version for some artists because deemix ripped both copies of each album. ripping the music took a few hours of legwork to setup, the playlists took a weekend. Getting playlists transferred from spotify to plex was the real pita. at that point, you can just use deezer directly though lol if you want to extend your time for free, you can create a virtual credit card (as the free month is per credit card) and keep it going as long as you'd like. just get the free month and rip everything you need. as the other user said, you can get 192kb for free, but seriously, it's noticeably worse than 320, even just on my airpods, but especially on my cans or actual speakers. i did this and linked deemix to my spotify account, which allowed me to rip every followed artists entire discography with a single button. ![]() Please go to the relevant subreddits and support forums, for example:ĭeezer offers 1 month free for new users.
